Waitangi Day Poetry

WAITANGI DAY – The Hill We Climb is a short poetry unit that uses Amanda Gorman’s Inauguration Speech as inspiration for reflection on Waitangi Day.

Students analyse Gorman’s poem, learn about Waitangi Day and then produce their own poem.
