Read. Think. Learn. – Exciting Updates to Our Kiwi Kids News Learning Activities!

At Kiwi Kids News, we’re always looking for ways to make learning more engaging, accessible, and fun for students and teachers. That’s why we’re excited to share a big update to our Student Activities section!

Read the News. Then Dive Deeper.
Our goal is simple: students read an article… and then do something meaningful with it. Whether it’s reflecting, questioning, or digging deeper into new vocabulary — we now offer a wide range of updated activities to help learners engage with current events in a purposeful way.

What’s New?
We’ve made some big changes behind the scenes to give students and teachers a smoother experience:

Rewritten and Refreshed Activities
Each worksheet has been rewritten with student-friendly instructions and a clearer learning purpose. These aren’t just tasks — they’re tools for building understanding.

Sleek New Templates
The layout of our worksheets has been redesigned to be clean, easy to use, and visually appealing. Whether it’s a “News Review” or a “KWL Chart,” every template is now easier for students to complete.

Google Docs for Easy Sharing
No more downloading, uploading, or formatting! Each activity now has a Google Doc link. Students simply click the link, and it automatically creates a copy in their Google Drive — ready to complete and share with their teacher.

Here’s What You Can Now Access:
News Review Worksheet – Summarise, reflect, rate!
The Big Idea – Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?
Word Investigation – Explore tricky new words.
My Questions – Ask your own questions while reading.
KWL Chart – What you Know, Want to know, and would Like to learn.
Recall Questions – A quick check for key facts and understanding.

Perfect for:
Literacy lessons
Digital learning tasks

We’ve designed these resources with teachers in mind, so your students can get straight into the learning — with minimal prep from you.
